15 yea/rs of a/perture

On January 8th, 2010 – a/perture cinema opened its doors, popped the first batches of popcorn, and welcomed Winston-Salem to the first (and only) art-house cinema in the Triad.

15 years later, after thousands of films that brought laughs, tears, and conversations, (plus, perhaps, millions more batches of popcorn) we are thrilled to be celebrating throughout 2025 with a year’s worth of programming celebrating the films that got us to where we are.

From audience favorites to underseen gems, we will screen 15 films that have defined a/perture cinema as we look forward to many more years of bringing the best in cinema to the Triad.
