In general, a/perture cinema has a no refund, exchange or return policy. If you cannot attend a film, we highly encourage you to sell or gift your already purchased ticket to a friend or colleague. Tickets will not be refunded, given credit for, or allowed entry into another film after the ticket showtime has started. Refund requests after the showtime will not be honored as the ticketed money has already been given to the film distributor.

Exceptions for a refund will be made in the following case:

For a valid reason (work emergency, accidental purchase for wrong date, extreme illness, childcare issues), a/perture will exchange tickets for another showtime of the same film no less than 1 hour before the date/showtime of your purchased ticket. Exchanges must be requested via email to refunds@aperturecinema.com before the ticket showtime has started. Please include your order number and reason for exchange. We reserve the right not to transfer tickets for a valid reason. Email requests for an exchange after the ticketed showtime has commenced will not be honored or responded to as the ticketed money has already been given to the film distributor.

Raincheck tickets will be given to patrons who have experienced an ‘act of god’ while at a/perture: failure of projection equipment, electrical failure, weather emergency, safety emergency, or any situation where an outside circumstance has severely disrupted a screening. Raincheck tickets are emailed out the next business day and can only be used on the showtime where the ‘act of god’ occurred. Raincheck tickets are not normal and not offered to patrons who wish to see another show or who are seeking a refund.
