Streetside Cinema Internship
The streetside cinema Programming & Marketing Intern will support the Curator in all facets of programming, including screening, evaluation, selection, marketing, and promotion for the 2025-2026 season. streetside cinema is an outdoor, year-long, film festival that seeks to further immerse our community in the magic of cinema by providing free access to a curated festival of short films from around the world. streetside cinema was named to MovieMaker magazine’s 15 Film Festivals You Can Enter for Free, Presented by Film Freeway!

The internship is a two-month commitment spanning mid-May through mid-July 2025.
The internship is split into two segments: Review & Selection and Planning & Development.
This is a paid internship – $17 per hour, 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Review & Selection (May 16-June 14)
- Film Review & Evaluation
– Review and evaluate festival submissions under the direction and supervision of the Curator (approximately 800 qualified short films).
– Select and accept films, propose theme for the year based on selections and organize films into sections.
- Asset Collection
– Collect information and images for selected films and filmmakers.
– Organize and maintain these assets in shared online platform.
– Create and maintain the selected film catalogue.
Planning & Development (June 15-July 14)
- Marketing & Promotion
– Work closely with Curator to create and design the 2025-2026 season branding and design.
– Using Canva, create digital materials for website and social media as well as printed materials for screening window.
- Film Materials
– Download and organize films for screening platform.
– Generate content for webpages.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Training/background in film and media are preferred.
- Candidates should be adaptable and self-motivated with the ability to multitask, manage/prioritize deadlines and work independently.
- Excellent project and time management skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and timely follow through.
- Technologically savvy and able to learn new digital platforms quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally and collegially with others.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Canva, FilmFreeway, WordPress and video editing skills is desired but not required.

Box Office Staff Positions

General Staff – responsible for all sales and supporting functions in the concession area, and they help ensure every screening follows the highest standard. Part-time, starting at $15.00 per hour. Weekends, weeknight and holiday availability required.
