Folk + Film

Our state is home to one of the largest free music festivals on the East Coast – the N.C. Folk Festival, coming up Sept. 12-14 in neighboring Greensboro. In celebration of the many films that have paid tribute to this music genre, a/perture cinema is hosting two folk-inspired film screenings preceded by live performances from local folk artists! Performances are made possible by generous support from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.
