Remembering Robert Redford (1936-2025)

Robert Redford bought the rights to this classic story of investigative journalism in 1974. Producing and starring as Bob Woodward, Redford assembled an incredible cast including Dustin Hoffman as Carl Bernstein and Jason Robards as Washington Post Executive Editor Ben Bradlee, who won the Best Supporting Actor for his performance. During the 1972 elections, two reporters’ investigation sheds light on the controversial Watergate scandal that compels President Nixon to resign from his post.

“Mr. Redford and Mr. Hoffman play their’ roles with -the low-keyed, understated efficiency required since they are. in effect, the straight men to The people and ura events they are pursuing.” ~ Vincent Camby, The New York Times
