Celebrating both a/perture’s 15th anniversary, and the recent Oscar wins for independent theater champion Sean Baker with Anora, join us to revisit his breakout film, another tender and compassionate look at people on the fringes of American society. The story of a precocious six year-old and her ragtag group of friends whose summer break is filled with childhood wonder, possibility and a sense of adventure while the adults around them struggle with hard times.
