1. Day trip to Durham for Full Frame Documentary Festival:

Saturday, April 18, 2026 – all day (meet at a/perture) – $100

We’re renting a van and you’re invited! Up to 12 travelers can join Executive Director Leigh Dyer and Curator/Programmer Jake Laystrom as we head out to view world-class documentaries (many of which end up as next year’s Best Documentary Oscar nominees). 2. Group viewing experience at RiverRun International Film Festival:

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 – 6 p.m. meet at Jeffrey Adams for group reservation (separate checks); reserved seating for 8 p.m. “Nuisance Bear” screening at a/perture – $10

Once again, a/perture will be a hosting venue for RiverRun! Your purchase includes one group-rate ticket for a screening onsite at a/perture, and we will make a dinner reservation at Jeffrey Adams for anyone interested in participating. 3. Panel discussion and book launch for “America’s Favorite Movie Theaters: Please Remain Standing”

Thursday, April 23, 2026, 6:30 p.m. (meet at Bookmarks) – FREE

If you RSVP at our link, we will create reserved seating for a/travel members at this event! Join local author Benita VanWinkle, a photography professor at High Point University; Michael Morin, director of RiverRun; and a/perture’s Jake Laystrom for a panel discussion that all lovers of movies and movie theaters will enjoy! 4. Refundable deposit for travel to Chicago in September

September 10-13, 2026. Schedule details to follow. $500.

Our curated travel experience will include three hotel nights, group restaurant reservations, and transportation arrangements for all destinations, to include trips to historic movie theaters and an architecture boat tour.
