In 1987, mysterious film producers (and softcore porn producers) Golan/Globus took their company Cannon Films to another level when they ponied up $15 million to secure the services of a red hot Sylvester Stallone. That money bought them the preeminent action star of the era as their lead in a four-quadrant arm wrestling family film extravaganza. “Over the Top” was Sly Stallone’s “Kramer v. Kramer”. A divorce drama that includes big rigs, beer, Las Vegas and all the pulse pounding arm wrestling action you can handle. Come join the fun and hear host my tales of working for Mr. Stallone in the 1990’s. Trucker hats optional, but recommended. – CN
